Terms of Service - Swiss Vignette

Last updated: 19 July 2026

1. About this service

Swiss Vignette is an independent assistance service and is not affiliated with the Swiss Government. There is an official Swiss federal e-vignette system. Swiss Vignette charges a service fee of £5.99 on top of the official vignette cost for completing the registration on your behalf in English.

2. What you’re purchasing

By placing an order, you are purchasing an application assistance service. The total charge of £44.99 comprises:

  • The official Swiss federal e-vignette fee (CHF 40, approximately £39.00)
  • Swiss Vignette service fee: £5.99

The e-vignette is registered with the Swiss authorities and linked to your number plate - there is no physical sticker and nothing is posted. A vehicle towing a trailer or caravan requires a second vignette. Swiss Vignette has no control over the Swiss system’s processing times once the application is submitted.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You must be the registered keeper of the vehicle or have authority to apply on the keeper’s behalf
  • All information provided must be accurate and match your registration document
  • You are responsible for checking your vehicle details, especially your registration number, before paying - a vignette registered against an incorrect registration cannot always be corrected

4. Refunds

If Swiss Vignette is unable to complete your registration for any reason, you will receive a full refund of £44.99.

Once your e-vignette has been successfully registered with the Swiss authorities, the order is non-refundable, because the vignette is a government product tied to your vehicle.

5. No guarantee of issuance

The registration of an e-vignette rests with the Swiss authorities. In the rare event that registration cannot be completed, Swiss Vignette will refund the full £44.99.

6. Limitation of liability

Swiss Vignette provides this service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for fines or penalties arising from driving on Swiss motorways before your vignette is confirmed, or for changes to Swiss vignette regulations.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
